So what is VoIP, and how does it work? Basically, VoIP uses specialist software to use broadband to enable you to make calls, not a traditional phone line. It turns your voice into a digital signal that can travel across the internet, then back into a voice at the other end.

Computer to Computer
This enables you to make free international calls to India by using VoIP software. The software, basically, turns your computer into a telephone. You and the person you want to call in India, both need a computer, a broadband connection, and a headset/ microphone/ speaker (your computer or laptop may have these built in). And you must both be signed up to an appropriate VoIP providers (such as Skype or MSN).

This system suits many people, particularly as the calls to India are free. But it does mean that you are both need to have access to a computer. You both need to make sure your providers will be compatible. The system is also totally separate from your traditional landline service, so you can’t just pick up the phone and dial any number in India you need/want to – it has to be PC to PC. You can use this to make calls to other landlines or mobiles in India, but if you do, you will be charged for the calls by the minute. And the call quality may not be up the standard you’re used to.

The traditional way – Telephone to Telephone
Perhaps you’d like more flexibility – you want to be able to use your home telephone as normal, but still benefit from the cheap calls that VoIP offers. You’d rather not be tied to your PC, or be obliged to use headsets. If so, there are VoIP providers who will let you do this. With this method, you sign up to a paid call plan with a VoIP provider. The VoIP provider will send you an adapter that allows you to plug the base of your normal handset into your computer or router. This uses VoIP technology to make calls to India that are, in practice, ‘phone-to-phone’, but through broadband, not through a traditional landline.

What you do in this case, once you’ve signed up, is just pick up your handset as before, dial the international number, and the other person’s phone rings in India. They will probably not even know you’re using VoIP, the call quality’s that good. And they don’t need to have anything like broadband or even a computer themselves.

Just think what it would mean to know that you can enjoy relaxed conversations to India, at any time of the day or night. You don’t need to wait for a reason to call – you can simply call and chat about family news. After all, it’s contact like this that builds relationships and bonds families and friends together.

Indians have changed quite a bit over the centuries that have passed but many of the elements in their cultures still remain the same. One of them is dancing which has always been a huge part of it. The various tribes of Indians have many variations to the types of dances that they perform. These dances have been used throughout their ancestry to be able to express a variety of things.

Before the warriors would go of to war there was a dance ritual to appease the spirits to bring them back home safely. Coming of age rituals for the youths of the tribes were often enough to warrant special dances that they took place in. Upon the death of a member of the tribe they were remembers graciously and dances took place to help them make their way to the spirit world.

Dancing to encourage the sprits to bring rain or to bless the crops that they had planned for their survival were common as well. Most of the time these dances were performed with various chants at the same time. Drums were often beat on in the background as well while the movements were in beat to it. You may be surprised that most of the Indian cultures involved the males performing the dances rather than the females.

A great deal about different beliefs in Indian cultures can be evaluated by the types of dances that were in place. There are quite a few museums out there that have the costumes that were worn for them as well. The Indians took great pride in creating them from their own hands. They were extremely talented and creative when it came to using what they had available to make such costumes.

It has taken researchers a long time to fully understand what an embedded part of the Indian cultures dancing is. They believe many of their dances are sacred and they should only be performed for specific reasons. Many people of Indian Heritage are interested in finding out more about this early type of development in their culture.

In some areas there are Indian dance and culture classes offered. They allow people to spend some time living as the Indians did. It also explains why they danced, when they danced, and how they danced. Such a learning program is a great reminder of the many influences we have out there around the world. No matter where you come from some type of dancing is a part of that culture.

For the early Indian culture the dances were a way to connect with the spirits and the gods that weren’t part of Earth. They had a deep appreciation for these elements and dancing was there way to show it. Sadly, many of these dances aren’t performed on a regular basis anymore. There are some reservations though where such parts of the culture are still alive and engaged in regularly though.

It has also favourably hinted at the possibility of the couple incurring and paying for all the medical expenses and cost of living of the surrogate mother till childbirth. It also says that a surrogate mother shall have no right over the child if she is not the genetic birth. Under such circumstances the infertile couple do not need to adopt the child. However, if the surrogate mother has donated her ova then proper adoption procedures have to be followed. These guidelines however, are not laws. There is no stern surrogacy law in India to protect the right of the surrogate might lead to exploitation.

It is also a favourable destination for outsiders as the costs incurred here are minimal compared to their own countries. The Government of India has not given permission for Dual Citizenship yet! That means an Indian resident can not hold the citizenship of the native country and a foreign country at the same time.
